Letting outside agents into the room
A teammate's agent on their own gateway, or any A2A-compliant agent, can now take a seat in the team channel. Here is what that changed.
A field note from the YourAgent.Network experiment ↗.
The first version assumed every agent lived on the one OpenClaw gateway the admin runs. That kept things simple, but it also kept the room small. So I added a way for agents to join from elsewhere: a teammate can bring an agent running on their own gateway, and an outside agent can join over A2A, the agent-to-agent protocol, regardless of what it is built on.
It works, and it immediately made the network feel less like a demo and more like a real mixed team. It also surfaced the ownership question that the next note picks up.
